Alex Cyr is a St. FX (BAHK) and Windsor (MHK) alumnus pursuing a Master's degree in journalism at Ryerson University. His background is in kinesiology, but his true passions are running (which he does when he’s restless and cannot write) and writing (which he does when he is injured and cannot run). In that vein, Alex is a writer with Canadian Running Magazine and U Sports. In July 2018, he published his first book: Runners of the Nish: A Season in the Sun, Rain, Hail and Hell.
The Abram-Village, Prince Edward Island native has lots of published writing, but he also has an enormous repertoire of unreleased work; partly due to a lack of effort on the publishing front and partly because nobody would want to read it. This list includes - but is not limited to - his undergraduate thesis, Ferg and his Girl 1, Ferg and his Girl 2, and probably his graduate thesis, whenever that comes out.
An avid blogger and mediocre singer-songwriter, Alex spends most of his time chasing Angus Rawling’s personal bests.
